As part of our 150th birthday celebrations in September 2012, money was raised from within the local community and beyond in order to renovate some of the stonework on the church building, and also to restore and refurbish the church bell. The bell, cast 150 years ago, had lain silent for many years and it was our aim to have it restored to its former glory and ring out over the village as it once did.
That work has now been completed and here are some photographs to show what has been done.
A huge THANK YOU! to everyone who has helped - both with fundraising and with practical assistance - to achieve these wonderful results. Also, an especially huge THANK YOU! to Rt Rev'd Justin Welby (now Archbishop of Canterbury) who conducted a beautiful service of dedication of the bell.
